I'm a school-based speech-language pathologist with years of experience participating in IEP meetings, reviewing evaluations, writing goals, and collaborating with families and educational teams.Over time, I've noticed that many parents leave IEP meetings with unanswered questions—not because they weren't paying attention, but because there's a lot of information to process in a short amount of time. Reports are filled with unfamiliar terminology, conversations move quickly, and it can be difficult to know what questions to ask.Speak Up IEP Consulting was created to help parents better understand the special education process and feel more prepared for important conversations about their child's education.
